Ladbrokes Park - Race 1 12:25pm AEST
Talented claimed a classy win on debut at Geelong and chased home Microphone, who went on to finish second in the Golden Slipper, in the Talindert Stakes. On exposed form, he has a clear class edge over the rest of this field and I still think that he has the scope to improve. He can make a winning return to the races.
Ladbrokes Park - Race 2 1:00pm AEST
Maozi ran some of the fastest closing sectionals of the day when she won at Ladbrokes Park last start and she clearly relished the step-up to 1200 metres. 1300 metres looks as though it will be ideal for her and the sting out of the track will not be an issue. She maps to get a lovely run in transit and she can make it two wins on the trot.
Ladbrokes Park - Race 8 4:30pm AEST
Mr Tipla savaged the line when he won at Ladbrokes Park last start and his final 1200 metres was the best of the day. He has drawn wide, but he will settle in the second half of the field anyway and that will give him the chance to get up and running a long way from home. He will be storming home in the concluding stages.
Canterbury - Race 4 2:35pm AEST
Watchdog was able to end his run of outs with a fast-finishing victory at Warwick Farm last start and it now would not surprise to see him go on with the job. He ran some of the fastest closing sectionals of the day last start and the step-up to 1900 metres shouldn’t be an issue. He will get back from the wide barrier draw, but he will be storming home late.
